PUBLIC NOTICE - Certification of City Council Candidates for November 6, 2018 General Election Ballot
I, Jennifer L. Nelson, City Recorder and Elections Officer for the City of Carlton, Oregon, certify the following filings for candidacy for non-partisan nomination to the City of Carlton City Council on the November 6, 2018, Biennial General Election ballot:
MAYOR AT-LARGE, TWO-YEAR TERM VOTE FOR ONE

The City Council position noted above is a two-year term of office, currently held by Kathie Oriet, which commenced on January 1, 2017 and runs through December 31, 2018. The individual elected at the November 6, 2018, General Election will hold the office until the term expires at the end of December 2020.
CITY COUNCILOR AT-LARGE, FOUR-YEAR TERM VOTE FOR THREE

The three City Council positions noted above are four-year terms of office, currently held by Scott Chitwood, Gwen Jernstedt, and Shirely Ward-Mullen, which commenced on January 1, 2015 and runs through December 31, 2018. The individuals elected at the November 6, 2018, General Election will hold the office until the term expires at the end of December 2022.
