Ways To Pay Your Bill
At City Hall
City Hall accepts water/sewer utility payments in the form of cash, check, or debit/credit card every Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. For after-hours payments, or in the event that City Hall is closed to the public, please leave payment in the form of a check in the mail slot at the top of the ramp for the admin building at 945 West Grant Street.
Over The Phone
The City recently implemented an interactive voice response (IVR) payment platform as a robust, cost-effective, and easy way to process credit card payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a payment card industry (PCI) compliant environment. This automated system means city staff no longer take sensitive credit card information over the phone.
PCI compliance was developed to ensure providers and merchants protect cardholder data when it is stored and transmitted.
Call 503-476-9620 to make a telephone payment. Before calling, have your customer number ready. Each number contains six digits to the left of the dash and three to the right, for a total of nine digits. If your number contains fewer digits, add zeroes to the beginning of the number.
When prompted, enter the total of nine digits including any added zeros. The customer number must be entered in its entirety to complete the transaction.
There is no fee for this service.
Online
We can also accept online payments for water/sewer utility bills. Using the online bill pay system, you can either:
- Sign up for recurring payments, which will be automatically withdrawn from the account of your choice on the 15th of the month. You must create an account for recurring payments. There is no fee for recurring payments.
- Submit a "Quick Payment" for a $2.40 processing fee. No account registration is required for this service.
